1. Who we are
Distelane is the trading name of [Legal entity — pending], registered in Wyoming, United States. Our workshop is in Lyon, France, and we ship internationally. You can write to us at hello@distelane.com for any matter relating to these terms.
2. Ordering and prices
Prices are listed in euros (EUR), inclusive of VAT where applicable. The price displayed at checkout is the price you pay. Pricing errors that are obvious and substantial may be corrected before dispatch with a full refund offered.
3. Order confirmation and cancellation
An order confirmation email is an acknowledgement, not a contract. We reserve the right to cancel any order — for pricing error, suspected fraud or product unavailability — with a full refund. You may cancel an order without charge before it has been packed and shipped.
4. Shipping
We ship within five working days of order, by tracked courier. Delivery times depend on destination and carrier; estimated transit times are given at checkout and are not guaranteed. We are not responsible for delays caused by carriers, customs or weather. Risk passes to you on delivery to the carrier.
5. Returns and refunds
You may return any unused piece within 30 days of delivery for a full product refund, excluding outbound and return shipping. Pieces that have been engraved or made-to-measure (sized belts, hot-foil initials) cannot be returned unless defective. Defective items are replaced or refunded in full, including shipping, on receipt of photographic evidence.
6. Cellar storage and product integrity
Every bottle leaves our cellar in perfect condition: filled, corked or stoppered, sealed and packed in protective material. If a bottle arrives broken or with a damaged seal, write to us within seven days with a photograph and we will replace it free of charge. Once the seal is broken the spirit is your responsibility; we cannot accept returns of opened bottles.
7. Engraving and personalisation
We can engrave a glass or a decanter with initials, a date or a short phrase. Engraving is final — once cut, the engraved piece cannot be returned unless defective. Engraving requests must be sent at checkout in the note field; we confirm by email before production and ship within ten working days.
8. Intellectual property
All content on this website — including text, photography, spirit descriptions, design, CSS, JavaScript and layout — is the property of [Legal entity — pending] or used with permission. You may not reproduce, distribute, republish or use this content for commercial purposes without express written permission.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, [Legal entity — pending] shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages arising from your use of this website, the products sold or the information provided herein.
10. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the law of the jurisdiction in which [Legal entity — pending] is registered, in Wyoming, USA, at [Address — pending]. Any dispute shall first be subject to good-faith negotiation. EU consumers may also use the European Online Dispute Resolution platform.
